When I look at McConnell I don’t see a fighter- I see an old turkey.

Don’t know how to post pics on FR but I see a turtle!

Tough to do when the guy in the Oval Office has the veto pen.

Each veto of a decision made by elected representatives of the people will only bury him and his party deeper. How many consequent vetos a President may use until the rest of the people start questioning who he is working for?

or sit him (obama) in a corner and dare him to leave that corner. It can be done. Republicans only have to implement the People’s Mandate from yesterday’s vote.

Play hardball. If he wants dime one for his socialist schemes, he shuts his mouth and puts the veto pen away. Otherwise he’s going to have to fire his whole bureaucratic machine because he can’t pay them.

He’s got the veto, but Congress controls the purse. And while the pen is mightier than the sword, the dollar trumps them both.

I completely agree with Rush on that. I didn’t vote for Republicans to work and compromise with Obama. I didn’t vote for the Republicans to govern or reach across party lines. I voted for the Republicans to STOP Obama, STOP Obamacare and to STOP the flood of illegals into our country and their Amnesty Obama plans on implementing.

I fully expect Obama to become increasingly lawless in order to push through his agenda when the political resistance begins. The newbies and the incumbents we put in power to stop him better be ready for what’s coming down the pike.

Methinks you will suddenly find a much more talkative and compliant Lois Lerner. I would even hazard a guess that a plea bargain is in the works. Makes sense in so much that any plea deal can be undone by an outgoing pardon issuing Urkel.

This was a most astute analysis of the GOP's strategy for the midterms — and also what this election means, even if the meaning is not clear to many of the winners.

The mandate is NOT to cooperate with Democrats to govern; but rather to STOP the advance of the radical leftist agenda. It wasn't a vote in favor of individual Republicans or Republicanism in general. The outcome was because the only hope of arresting the rapidly creeping Marxism lay with GOP votes in this election.

As Rush and others have pointed out, the really hard part lies ahead in the next two years, when 0&Co. will do everything in their power, including illegal and unconstitutional actions, to thwart Congress and to lie about the meaning of this decisive smackdown of 0's policies.

I agree; he doesn’t have a good look for a youth-obsessed society. Sad what our media-drenched culture has become.

Rush is half right. Lots of Americans had as their goal a rollback of Marxism by Obama and his merry band of aholes. But Americans are hurting economically and they want solutions there. Median income is down 8%, 50 million on welfare, 18-29 year olds living in Moms basement because they can’t find a job or if they do they are limited to 30 hours. Republicans can help there and so can the fed. It will hurt the stock market but tough crap on that. And I am an investor so I have skin in that game. But enough of the zero interest rate crap for banks while savers get zero interest on their savings.

Here’s hoping - I hope we can survive the short term pain long enough for the long term prosperity.
