A really key point is that the Republicans did NOT run on ideology. Certainly not a Conservative ideology because they didn't even talk about Conservative principles. Nor even RINO principles, whatever they may be. The election was about:

Rush's opening monolog today has me thinking about the Republican 'lack' of a national Republican theme. I will admit that I was extremely frustrated by this strategy prior to the election.

In hindsight I think that whoever came up with this strategy may well have have hit on the absolutely PERFECT way to defeat the Democrats while making it impossible for 0bola to push his agenda after a wave election.

By standing silent on their agenda, they forced the election to turn on 0bola, his policies, and the Democrats who would likely support them if elected.

Post election the Republicans can no longer stay silent. They must articulate what they believe and how that translates into governance.
