Brownback wins; Paul Davis concedes.
A clean sweep in all major races in KS tonight for the GOP. KS remains a red state.
Woo hoo! The liberals around me will be in agony tomorrow!
Awesome I was worried about this one
NBC News also just projected Brownback the winner.
Thank Christ!
What is the matter with Kansas, Nothing thank you!
Whew. I’ve been scared about this one. I love Brownback but darn if he doesn’t think he needs to sound liberal to win. IT KILLS HIM rather than helps him. Overall he is a solid conservative and a person of good character whom I trust.
WIBW still hasn’t called (at least online), but he’s up 16k votes with 94% reporting.
For non-Kansans, Brownback has been a lower profile version of Scott Walker....taking on unions and the teacher lobby. He also reduced taxes.....when badgered about what woukd happen when tax revenue dropped, he said thats the point - and government will have to get smaller.
Brownback has been used like a curse word around here....the libs deeply hate him and have assumed that he could never be re-elected. They have to be stunned.
I’m a lawyer in Kansas and was worried about who Davis would pick for judges. The judges Brownback has picked are good solid people.
It was looking that way. Thanks for posting. He was down much of the night, and it looked like he lost Sedgwick and Johnson Counties. Looking at the map below, his numbers are only going to go up.

So was I.
Did you notice that Roberts beat Orman by 7 to 8 points....so much for the experts.
Oh yes. The idea of Brownback picking judges just makes my heart sing. I totally trust him with that.
I am surprised it was so close in Sedgwick County. Johnson County never surprises me about anything. Brownback is thankfully a better governor than he is a campaigner.
I can go to bed now and sleep well.
Me too.
Nice to see your posts again. (I’ve been gone, not you.)
Well, bye! I’m going to the DUmp for the gnashing of teeth right blessed now!
Thank Christ indeed. Out of all the races it was my prayer that Brownback and the people of Kansas stuck together. I hope that this news is correct.
