Yup! If it isn’t George Strait, Alan Jackson or Toby Keith, I’m not interested. I’m “old school” and still buy CDs and these are the only artists I support. Still buy CDs of the old stuff though.

That’s NEW country...

Country died after “Urban Cowboy”.

Old school? I think I have an Uncle Dave Macon record around here somewhere. Okeh label, circa 1924.

There IS *new* country out there that is actually pretty good, but you may have to dig around, pick & choose a bit. When I listen to country, yeah, I'm firmly into the classics, but just in the past few weeks I've been listening to FM radio while in the car, which is unusual since I typically plug in a CD or USB stick loaded with tunes. And I heard this song for the first time ever the other day https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKpQRjj_WbU - dates from 2009, but it's new to me. Made me smile when I heard it, so I had to look it up. Checked out some of his other songs on Youtube and he seems to do a mix that meanders between the old classic and the pop sound. There's no doubt more out there like that, just gotta find them.
