-- Tom Magliozzi, half of the "Click and Clack" team of brothers who hosted NPR's "Car Talk" radio show, died Monday. He was 77.
NPR reported the death Monday afternoon. The cause was complications from Alzheimer's disease, the radio network said.
In a statement, his brother Ray remembered a jovial partner.
"We can be happy he lived the life he wanted to live; goofing off a lot, talking to you guys every week, and primarily, laughing his ass off," he said.

Rest in Peace. These guys are like my corner garage brothers. Very few of them left. Funny guys.
RIP, Tom .. we all loved ya.
Which one, Click or Clack?
No....sometimes it was, “push it over a cliff”
Oh man. I often work at 7:00am on Saturdays, and my local NPR station replayed a show between 6 and 7. It was a great way to get to work. Great show, and you could even learn something. I hope he is riding that great stetch limo in the sky - driven, of course, by Pikup Andropov.
Click, I believe
Funny guys.
One of them had a Dodge Dart.
I remember a caller was concerned about their Dart overheating, the temp gauge always running in the ‘Hot’ range.
He told the caller to get some electrical tape and put a piece over the gauge.
LOL
Apparently the gauges were miscalculated and showed erroneous high temps.
I don’t think it was as much for do it yourself repairs, but rather how to avoid getting screwed when you go it.
I used to love when they would make the callers try to make the noises the cars made.
I haven’t fixed my own car since I was twenty two. But I loved listening to those two.
I want an obituary like that!
RIP.
Oh, that show used to make me laugh.
RIP
These guys were too funny.
Many times the problem of the car had to do with what color it was painted.
Yeah, I guess they were funny at times. They weren’t above taking digs at political figures. Like Sarah Palin. Maybe someone who’s listened to the show regularly can tell me if they ever took a dig a Democrat...like King Barack.
Well, their show was on National Proletariat Revisionism.....
..... no surprise that they dissed conservatives.
P.S. I hate NPR with a passion - I NEVER listen to it.
RIP
Just listened to a program on Saturday after a long time and my hubby walked in and we laughed at a few of their replies.
Some of the best of NPR.
Sometimes it’s just best that in times such as these to remove the politics from the discussion and remember people for what they were most noted for.
Bummer. Liberal as all get out, but funny as could be...
I used to listen to show. Then one of the jackasses made a totally gratuitous shot about Sarah Palin seeing Russia from her house, and that was the last time I listened to the show.
I really doubt Sarah would care. Why do you?
I have listened to them over the years and they were good clean fun. I’ll miss their banter.
