“Maryland “Freak State” PING!”
Oh, I don’t know, you can pretty much pick any state to the north of MD and you find a “freak state.” Like some pundit said regarding Christie’s outburst the other day, “ he’s governor of a state that’s ungovernable.”

No doubt chosen because Maryland’s moniker is “the Free State”. I think a more appropriate twist is “the Fee State.”
