Yeah I keep wondering how he is still getting 44% approval and I could have sworn it’s been in the lower 40% range before for a good part of the last year.

The 40% range numbers are job-approval related. This 44% is based on image and overall approval. That historically has been a higher number than job-approval.

A record low 44 percent of Americans report a favorable impression of him in a new Washington Post-ABC News poll.

Record low approval rating of 44%, lower than 42%, 40%, and 39%!!!!

Funny how that works. Always a "new record low" that is somehow higher than the previous lows.
