Republican takeover of the Senate will likely depend on the outcome of the Iowa Senate race.
"What Joni Ernst would mean, coming to the United States Senate, is that Mitch McConnell would be the leader of the Senate, someone who agrees with her on virtually everything. Think what that would mean to our country," Reid said Saturday, according to Roll Call.
Republican Joni Ernst is neck and neck with Rep. Bruce Braley, the Democratic candidate. Reid was participating in a conference call organized by the Progressive Change Campaign Committee, which was phone banking for Braley.
The latest CBS News/New York Times Battleground Tracker had the two tied at 44 percent each.

This outlook ignores the idea that if it comes down to one rave, then every race counts. It isn’t just about Iowa. Maybe they would just like to create that impression to discourage others.
Iowans need to be told that a vote for Braley is a vote for Harry Reid.

A public records request from a political candidate isn’t unusual, but the volume of materials Ernst’s campaign is seeking in five ays right before an election isn’t typical, several auditors said.Iowa Code Section 22 allows public records custodians a “good faith, reasonable delay” in providing records if they’re trying to figure out whether the documents are confidential, but the delay shouldn’t exceed 10 business days.
<><><> The National Republican Senatorial Committee sent a letter to the Iowa Secretary of State’s Office Oct. 6 seeking election materials that included voting instructions, satellite polling locations, names of ballot counters, recount rules and any materials sent to Braley’s campaign. Cong Braley or his sponsors--significantly--have not made a similar request.

How many voting machines are corrupted? My guess is ALL of them.
It’s going to be tough for Harry to live by the rules he created when his becomes the minority party, i.e. nuclear option! I can’t wait till the Republicans use his own rules against him!!
