I don’t care. It’s legal. If anyone deserves compensation from the government it’s veterans. 3.5 billion is drop in the bucket compared to what congress feasts on. Our entire government is nothing but a jobs program devoted to taking as much money from the private sector as possible.
It is a drop in the bucket compared to the fraud with SSI, for one.
I do think the Disabled Vet program should not be lumped in to SSI, but paid through VA. I’m guessing they lumped them together to give some legit cover to all the shady SSI crap from non-deserving freeloaders.
