Ebola: Three Million HazMat Suits on the Way [Move on, folks, nothing to see here... ]
American Thinker ^ | 10/31/2014 | Colin Flaherty

The liberal blogosphere is aflame with accusations that the Ebola outbreak is a fake crisis manufactured by right-wing media.

The World Health Organization has a different point of view: the group at the front lines of the Ebola epidemic is ordering 3 million hazardous material suits for health care workers and patients around the world to meet demand over the next 9 months.

More than 400 caretakers have contracted Ebola during the recent outbreak. The WHO estimates the outbreak could cause 10,000 new cases a week in Africa over next two months. Officials say more than half of the cases of Ebola are fatal.

“Several U.S. companies are ramping up production to meet the exploding demand,” said Bill Gunderson, president of Gunderson Capital. “Lakeland is gearing up to provide the hazmat suits. In a recent earnings report the company said the “aggregate of orders won by Lakeland that are believed to have resulted from Ebola crisis amount to approximately 1 million suits with additional orders for other products, such as hoods, foot coverings and gloves.”

WHO estimates it will need 300,000 suits a month.

“That is a lot of suits,” Gunderson said. “A lot of sick people.”

News of the massive increase in orders sent Lakeland’s stock soaring 37 percent on Thursday. That is up 202 percent for year to date.

The U.S. Department of State is receiving bids to supply 160,000 hazmat suits.

"Monthly production capacity for sealed seam ChemMAX and MicroMAX protective suit lines has increased by nearly 50% from August 2014, prior to Ebola-related product demand, to October 2014, and is on track for a 100% increase from that level by January 2015, with the ability for additional increases as needed,” said Lakeland in a release.

My raging against the LibTards is well documented. But what .... you want preparation but preparation means the end of the world? The science is C L E A R. Ebola is easily contained. It does not easily spread. Only in those areas without training and infrastructure will it spread. That’s the Science. The politics? BOTH sides are engaged in the silly, misguided and fear-mongering ... let’s shut everything down approach.

There IS nothing to see here. This IS a manufactured crises by BOTH sides to scare voters into doing what they want the voters to do. Wake up America (well, the LibTards can stay asleep for all I care) ... our “Leaders” are liars or, at best, willingly misinformed.

"The science is C L E A R. Ebola is easily contained. It does not easily spread. Only in those areas without training and infrastructure will it spread."

Then why hasn't it been contained? Why did it spread to two nurses in the U.S.? There are now almost 14,000 cases of this so-called "hard to catch" disease and few signs that they are any closer to having it under control.

The science is not clear. WHO and CDC have understated the risk of this disease from the beginning.

Because it is highly infectious, in the late stages (e.g., when the patient is dying). And because the protocols for protecting medical providers are stronger than they were in the initial case.

Let me ask you this: Should we be quarantining the people who are treating Dr. Spencer in New York? How about the who treated the two nurses, in Atlanta and Maryland?

Yes we should. They should be dedicated to treating ebola patients, and no one else. It would restore some confidence in the hospitals if they did.

Texas Presbyterian became a ghost hospital after accepting Duncan. Nobody wants a nurse that just left an ebola patient's room.

You always judge a state by its actions, not by its words.

The words of a state are best used to determine what they are trying to hide.

So for example, what could they be trying to hide by the non action of not banning West Africans ?

The best fit is that Ebola is already here.

As I’ve pointed out before, one reason conservatives are likely to win the coming revolution is the complete incompetence of the left.

About races. Or strains of Ebola zaire. There is another race in East Africa that has also broke out. Think it was Congo. Another Ebola zaire variant.

It is actually best if the psychotic left stays out in the woods on this one. Otherwise we would have 24 hour Ebola coverage.

Then why hasn't it been contained?

Because Africans eat contaminated bushmeat, kiss their dead infected relative's corpses, don't follow simple hygiene practices, steal their loved ones out of hosptials and ransack Ebola clinics. And because the rest of the world is just as backward allowing free travel to spread it to the four corners of the world.

Based on my days in a nuclear shipyard, my guess is that a correct set of medical protocols would require that bio hazard suits are one-time use items. Therefore, every time a medical worker exits the quarantine area, the bio suit goes into the hazardous material waste bin. Twenty people, working in the morning, breaking for lunch, and then going back to finish the shift would account for 40 bio suits a day. Three shifts of 20 would account for 20x2x3 = 120 per day, or 3600 per month. And then, there are the suits for the people who dispose of the bio suits and bodily fluids. Double that for the number of pairs of gloves needed. The logistics of a problem like this add up very fast.

And the two American nurses. Did they eat contaminated bushmeahn, kiss the dead, practice bad hygiene or ransack ebola clinics?

Certainly African practices contribute. But this disease is not as benign as WHO and CDC has made it out to be. You don’t get 400 medical workers sick with a disease that’s impossible to catch.

The stuff that has come out of the CDC is two faced lies. You can give it on a bus, but you can’t catch it on a bus? Seriously?

Bring out your dead! The Dark Man cometh! Bring out your dead! The Dark Man cometh! Bring out your......

(Since all records of obama's past were lost in a tragic boating accident and fire, no one can be certain that the guy in the red circle isn't him...)

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

So far the false positive rate is 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

*sigh* Such is life, and death...
