One gives them a 'report card' on their prior voting history -- most are deemed 'average' -- while the other suggests the voter in question would be surveyed as to whether or not they cast a ballot in this year's general election.

...said First Vice Chair Patsy Keever. 'We will continue to look for every way possible to empower, educate, and encourage voters for the remainder of this election cycle.'

Even if that actually means browbeat, intimidate, deceive, extort, or pay off voters because of what this means to her.

. Known as 'voter shaming' or 'social pressure,' the tactic first emerged widely in 2012,"

Ummm... tactic such as this is in and have been in the Union arsenal for many years, well before 2012.

Typical: Call base as an "independent pollster" to ask who they support. Use the result for future knocks on the door. If the poll answer was not in the right direction, the knock on the door might be a very Hard knock. Hate for anything bad to happen to that door!

The GOPe has been attempting to use voter shame for the last two election cycles at least. You see it right here on freep even now. If you don’t get to the polls and vote for their RINOs, you voted to put xyz (in this case, Obama) into office.

Rush explained it well. If the minority population is afraid of voter ID, just where the hell does this land them?

This isn’t “shaming”.

This is intimidation.

'If you do not vote this year, we will be interested to hear why not,' the letter says.

"We'll be watching you for other signs of deviancy, Comrade," it continues. "We'd hate to see that building permit you applied for last month be denied, or have any trouble with those delinquent tax records..."

Yup. Electronic voting is the end of the secret ballot.

More common is the attempt to shame anyone who actually comes against the FR agitpropers who say to stay home and let the dems control everything. Because that worked so well in 2012.......

Nominating liberal Republicans has that affect. Rove and Romney should get the blame, not the voters.

Short sighted at best.

If you want Cruz to win as I do, he will need a GOP senate he can move to the right in order to govern.

How's that stay at home 2012 vote doing for us btw?

Yeah, I thought you might not want to address that problem.

I’m proud to vote shame those who allowed the bamster to stay in office. And yes, they should ALL be ashamed of what they have allowed to happen.

It was the GOPE who allowed Bamster to stay in office. The RINO’s who put up Romney are the ones who should ashamed.

I never supported liberal Romney in 2012, I also did not support Obama and would have never considered voting for him.

No it wasn't, you act like they forced people to nominate Romney.

I was for Newt, but when he lost, like Newt, Palin and any other sane conservative I voted proudly to get rid of the bamster. Anyone who didn't is a fool. How do you like what you got so far? Go ahead, explain how leaving a totalitarian Marxist, the most pro-death presie ever, the most anti free market, pro racial divisiveness, most destructive administration ever was a good idea.......explain away the list of insane things this administreation has done and how that's been good for the country....

I'll be waiting.

I do not support Obama or what he has done in any way, shape or form. That would be the GOPE you are thinking of.

The Republican Party needs to stop nominating losers and putting them into leadership positions.
