The citys first Ebola patient initially lied to authorities about his travels around the city following his return from treating disease victims in Africa, law-enforcement sources said.
Dr. Craig Spencer at first told officials that he isolated himself in his Harlem apartment and didnt admit he rode the subways, dined out and went bowling until cops looked at his MetroCard the sources said.

Revoke his license. Now.
If he were Kaci Hickox (sp?) he’d be suing for unreasonable search and seizure.
If he did this, then sure. And, if/when he recovers, charge him with obstruction of justice. But I'd prefer to see more evidence than an anonymously-sourced tabloid article before doing so.
"It's really nothing. Doesn't even smell."
Can I ask a stupid question? How can we do a quarantine, for any illness, if a quarantine is considered a violation of your civil rights and all that???
Liberals lie for their own selfish purposes.
Well, duh.
The argument is that, given “the science”, the quarantine is being arbitrarily imposed and is in excess of what’s needed.
I don’t buy it, either.
Initially reports were that he self-quarantined, only later was it reported that he went bowling etc.
According to this story it was police investigation that revealed his travels.
If you can be ordered to appear for Jury Duty, you can be ordered to be quarantined.
Dr. Spencer initially was asymptomatic. He was trusted to self-quarantine and he violated that trust, potentially exposing an unknown number of people to a deadly virus. Had quarantine been enforced these exposures would not have occurred.
Hickox initially presented with symptoms. Should this have been ignored?
The initial reports I saw were that he "self-monitored," not quarantined. Reports that he went bowling in Williamsburg were published even before his Ebola test results were back. From the NY Post itself (link):
Craig Spencer, who was was suffering from Ebola-like symptoms a 103-degree fever and nausea spent Wednesday night bowling in Williamsburg, the sources said. He used Uber taxis to get there and back.
. . .
Test results should be available in the next 12 hours, they added.
As health officials wait for the results to come in, the case is being treated as if it were already confirmed, according to council member Mark Levine, who represents Spencers neighborhood.
The impression from what we can gather, is that the Christian doctor and nurse from the Franklin Graham organization are salt of the earth people, but these other medical people seem to be of much lower personalities and instincts.
Actually, according to the Doctors Without Borders protocols he received upon leaving Guinea, he was trusted to self-monitor, not to self-quarantine.
He was hospitalized by the time of that Post article
He was hospitalized by the time of ANY article about him. The point is, he had not yet been diagnosed with Ebola, and yet it was already known that he had gone bowling and taken an Uber car.
All I'm saying is that an anonymously-sourced article is not enough to convict this guy of obstructing the police investigation. If he lied to the police, let's hear that from the police, not an anonymous "law-enforcement source."
