It hurts to say it, but at this point, white people, as a group, owe black people nothing.

Apparently it hurts to hear it too, because that simple sentence tends to infuriate the "Gibsmedat" crowd.

As a U.S. citizen I owe black Americans the same thing I owe any other American.... the respect to be treated the same as any other American. It infuriates me to be blamed for the problems of someone I had nothing to do with.
