TAUNTON, Mass. (WHDH) - Two teens from Taunton are facing 10-day suspensions over some pictures they took before Homecoming.
The pictures in question show the two dressed in their Homecoming outfits holding Airsoft guns.
It's not like it happened at school, we had the guns [at home] and that's where the pictures were taken and they said it didn't matter, Jaime Pereira said. "I guess the school took that as a threat but we didn't mean it in a threatening way."
School officials say the pictures, which were captioned Homecoming 2014, created a scare.
What it's about is a coupled students engaging in an activity that created a total destruction of the school day, Superintendent Richard W. Gross said. "They're juniors in High School, and it's proactive and they should know better and it scared students."
Jamie and her boyfriend Tito Velez say they haven't received their discipline letters in the mail yet, so they're still waiting to see if it's just a suspension or something else.
I made sure to have bright orange tape on my Airsoft gun. That way when the cops shoot me, I’ll be able to say I tried.
I don’t know under what authority a school can ban kids from showing up because of legal pictures they took in their own homes.
If I were the kids, I’d sue under the statute that requires the government to provide schooling to kids — the one that the illegals use to force their way into the school system.
Because if a school system can suspend a kid for a legal picture taken at their home, it seems they should be able to suspend a kid for illegal activity at their home — and being illegally in the country is an illegal activity.
Maybe what we need to do is to get a lot of chldren to be “really upset” at illegals coming to school. That seems to be the criteria for stopping something.
Here’s an update on the story. Seems the jacktards who run the school aren’t going to bakc down on their damnable idiocy.

It is long past time to abolish government schools. Education is far too important to allow government at any level to screw it up.
Privatize the schools.
All of them.
the purple penguins were doing nothing illegal
Now if they were engaged in sex, the school would give them an award
bump
I had to look up the ‘purple penguin’ thing. Idiocy.
lol. Yes it is.
They’re adorable, but they look like 12 year olds.
I’ve written this before because I did it myself. The main thing is publicizing it. Contact the principal, the local media, write letters to the local newspaper and try to get like minded parents to appear with you at the school board meetings.
Make them look like the fools they are! Nobody likes bad publicity. Obviously, in this case, it IS being publicized.
