When you cast your ballot for the Nov. 4 election, you will be voting for more than just the candidates running for office. Youll be deciding your future as a government worker.
If you vote for candidates who dont value government employees and the important work that you do, youre sending a signal that your pay, your benefits, and your job are fair game.
We need more elected officials on Capitol Hill and in statehouses across the country who will protect and strengthen government programs and agencies, who will support the right of workers everywhere to organize and bargain for better working conditions, and who will hold Wall Street executives accountable for paying their employees substandard wages while they enjoy record profits.
AFGE has compiled a list of candidates we feel deserve your vote. They were chosen based not on political party affiliation, but because they support government employees and the work that you do. Its your turn to support them when you cast your ballot.

I checked their recommendations on who to vote for in my State, what a suprise,6 out of 6 are Democrats.
Here is a few of the agencies AFGE represents:
Oh look. The Government Employees union wants to make sure everyone votes for more money for Government. What a surprise.
When the body dies, the parasites will die as well. Government employees, who make much more than the average taxpayer, should face that truth.
Oh, yeah. Vote for the economy killing, job killing, amnesty pushing democrat for job security. Unemployment checks and foodstamps are patriotic.
I notice they call themselves “employees” instead of “workers.” So let’s give them credit for that. I wonder if any of them gives a crap for the taxpayers...or the country. One of the worst things that ever happened to this country was to allow government employees to unionize. I wonder if they’ll vote during “duty” time....
I'd love to know how the first figure is so high -- I've known very few federal employees who made that much. I bet quite a bit of it is lining the pockets of union bosses and "regional counselors."
I think they endorsed the RAT (or “independent” in every single race, nation wide.
They are employees, and we pay their salaries, and we can fire them, don't care what their union says.
The other day I saw another article where the AFGE thinks the federal employees’ pay scale is 35% below what it should be. Yes, the pay scale of those federal employees most of whom are SUBSTANTIALLY OVERPAID AND OVERCOMPENSATED WITH OTHER BENEFITS.
Small wonder The Monster just keeps continuing to grow — when 1/4 of the voters are either employed by it or financially dependent on it.
Remember "Occupy Wall Street",trace it back
OK. Let’s start firing them, then. How would you suggest we begin?
We begin at the the State level, then the dominoes start to fall.
I would say “just wow” except that nothing these people do, no matter how low, is the least bit surprising anymore.
So we can’t actually fire government employees, as you asserted.
Sure we can, that’s why we have elections;)
Yeah. Right.
“When the body dies, the parasites will die as well.”
NJ in a nutshell; the cops we’ve been laying off have to look elsewhere for work because nobody’s going to be hiring here for a long time. Young people who thought they’d climb on the taxpayers’ backs have to go elsewhere as well, because many of the layoffs include plans to re-hire those laid-off cops before any younger, cheaper workers...
“I’d love to know how the first figure is so high — I’ve known very few federal employees who made that much.”
Maybe they aren’t telling the truth about their wages.
Here in NJ public school teachers whined about their pay until the Asbury Park Press released the salary of every public school teacher in the state (as public information); that was a turning point that Christie capitalized on to win election as governor. It drew a sharp contrast between the carefully-crafted lie and the hard truth crushing NJ taxpayers; on top of that, the retirement benefits are a curse that keeps on giving...
One of the parasites even lied (understating her income) at a town hall meeting when attacking Christie; apparently she didn;t realize that her claim could be verified.
