Department of Homeland Security is beefing up protection at federal buildings in Washington, D.C., and in other areas across the country, Secretary Jeh Johnson said Tuesday.
Although he did not cite any specific threats to individual government buildings, Johnson said, "the reasons for this action are self-evident: the continued public calls by terrorist organizations for attacks on the homeland and elsewhere, including against law enforcement and other government officials, and the acts of violence targeted at government personnel and installations in Canada and elsewhere recently."

Somebody wants people to think that hes actually DOING something about the terror threat. That's the only logical explanation.
Tomorrow Obama will probably go have a photo op launching a battleship or something, then on Thursday he'll ring the opening bell at the NYSE.

The DHS also encouraged state and local governments to be equally vigilant, particularly in guarding against potential small-scale attacks by a lone offender or a small group of individuals.
Are they referring to ebola or terrorism?

From the article:
Canadian authorities have said the accused gunman in last week's attack, Michael Zehaf-Bibeau, was driven by ideological and political motives and made a video before the shooting talking about Canada's foreign policy and his religious beliefs.
Give the Canadian's credit: they came about as close as possible to calling this man what he really is.
At least they have classified this as a terrorist attack. Ebolo wouldn't even do that.

DC news said that they were going to have daily changes in the types and locations of the increased security. That’s to keep the terrorists off balance, I suppose.
However, that implies that they don’t really know anything about what they’re doing or why they’re doing it.

I don’t blame them for being afraid. They are afraid to meet the enemy on the battlefield, and play a strictly defensive game. You’d think they wouldn’t be afraid of a JV team...And yet they call Netanyahu a coward.

At no point in history has any government ever wanted its people to be defenseless for any good reason ~ nully's son
We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that weve set. Weve got to have a civilian national security force thats just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded. Barack Hussein Obama, 7/2/2008
They dont call it a Civil Defense force, that would imply we need (or perhaps that we deserve) defense. The official name is National Civilian Community Corps.
I think of it as the NatCCC, or more simply, as the NatCs...
