I don’t understand how anyone who is giving enough to volunteer to risk their life by helping in another country can turn around and be so uncaring and selfish upon returning home.
What’s the big deal about staying in-of-doors for 3 weeks to make sure you’re ok, and show your fellow citizens that you’ll make that sacrifice to ensure everyone else is safe as well?
It’s because she was doing this, not out of concern for others, but for how it would look on her resume. Helping out over there was just supposed to be an enhancement. I don’t think she really cares about others, because if she did, her quarantine would be a non-issue.
Seriously, if I volunteered for such work, I would have no problem submitting to a quarantine on the back end if it could be done at home.
If it is a matter of sacrificed earnings, then perhaps the government should be willing to help. But other than that, I simply don't understand why medical workers who have been directly exposed think they have the right to go where ever they want and do whatever they want when they come back to the US.
That's not what she was complaining about, though. She is currently required to stay in her house to make sure she's OK, but that was the conession Christie made yesterday, after she complained. She was complaining that she was being quarantined in a tent next to the hospital, without heat or running water, far away from her home.
