I had a shortwave radio in the 70’s.Isn't shortwave pretty much dead now that one can listen to Voice of America,the BBC,Radio Australia,etc on their laptops?

This is all well and good, but their website is quite vague about what kind of English language programming will be on it.

Will it be ideologically conservative? Liberal? Religious?

One needs to know these things before one decides to spend their precious time listening to something.

Excellent news! I knew that sooner or later someone (other than Brother Stair) would realize the potential of shortwave broadcasting to inexpensive reach millions of listeners worldwide. Easy-to-use digital shortwave radios are $20 and you don’t need a “data plan” :-)

Looking forward to another voice in the ether that is worth listening to.

I added 9395 kHz to my memory channels on my Kenwood TS-570D. The info does now say which it is: AM, USB, LSB so I programmed it at USB (Upper Side Band) and will change that if I guessed wrong. TTUL...73...Al...WB6YNM...SK www.Varmintal.com

There were a number of Christian stations, Family Radio apparently has stopped its shortwave.

I think Radio Nippon and Radio Taipei were still on the air in the past few years.

Radio Taipei or Taiwan stopped broadcasting to North America because their North American relay-station, Family Radio closed down.
