I no longer have that interview as I lost the link to it and more when my computer died, and I'm not about to spend the time looking for it as I know from experience the Perry faithful always and w/o exception discount it as meaningless. But he said it, and given the wealth of information we know about Mr. Perry and his history of supporting ILLEGAL aliens, I fully believe he meant it.
Well, I have searched, and searched and cannot find any explicit quotes or policy statements that show Perry to be pro-amnesty. This is like science, if you cannot reproduce the results of the original experiment then the theory the experiment was to prove is likely false. I go with the evidence and there is none that proves Rick Perry is pro-amnesty, or that Mitt Romney is pro-abortion or pro-gay marriage.
I think some of you want to make the claim they have those positions, thus you interpret any statements they make through those prisms, and thus magically in your fevered hatred of anyone with whom you disagree in the slightest, you will make any claims about them without regard to the validity of of your analysis, if you even bother to take the time to do proper analysis, which seems doubtful. If that seems harsh, well too bad, it is the words of those making the claims while unwilling or unable to back them up that provide the evidence for that statement. In other words you guys not only provided the rope, you also slipped the noose around your necks and then tripped the gallows trap door, all with your own words. You’ve exposed yourselves for what you are, just as rigid in your beliefs and willing to hold positions that go against the evidence as any far leftist is in theirs.
