Families on Ft. Campbell were told the same thing last month. They’ve been told to remove all military-themed magnets/bumper stickers, to not wear military-themed clothing/hats/etc off base and to beware any stranger approaching them off-base. According to the scuttlebutt, MI has evidence of jihadis targeting wives and children off base.
People need to know what our government is doing at all times and at all levels.
The correct government directive should be:
Since international leaders of Islamic terrorists are ramping up and openly advocating violent attacks against all USA citizens, all citizens should report every potentially violent radical Islamic individual they encounter to local LEO’s and/or the FBI.
Alternatively, they can privately contact their local civilian militia leader.
(That will make the anti-2nd amendment fascists heads spin)
It’s been rumored for a while. Personally, my family has taken protective measures, but they aren’t about removing military symbols. Situational awareness, opsec and comsec are on the front burner.
My son-in-law got an email about it on his .mil account. I’ll see if he can forward a copy to me but I doubt that’s possible.
This is going on all over the military, active, reserve and guard. As a multi generation military family this really pi**es me off. We have to forsake our pride for imagined safety. I guess the ladies will have to cover their heads soon. Just to be safe. This is America for God’s sake! Words can not express the seething rage I feel.
I know what you mean. The worst part is, my daughter and son-in-law cannot have weapons at home or as concealed carry because they live on base. There’s some kind of regulation about it on military bases and SIL hasn’t found a way around it yet.
I cannot fathom why civilian command is telling troops and families to duck and cover while leaving the suspects alone. PC crap I think, and it’s infuriating.
My son-in-law is teaching my daughter how to use a vehicle, a tire iron, the car keys, just about anything she can grab as a weapon to protect herself and their baby. She barely hits five feet tall and weighs under a hundred so she doesn’t have mass on her side.
