Teen Roskana Sikorski Backed by Parents She Allegedly Plotted to Kill BY TRACY CONNOR
A Michigan couple is standing by their adopted 15-year-old daughter after she allegedly conspired with her older boyfriend to kill them and stabbed her kid brother.
Prosecutors have charged Roksana Sikorski as an adult for the Oct. 17 attack, but her parents say she suffers from mental illness and was under the sway of 23-year-old Michael Rivera.
"I think she just thought this guy loved her and she wanted to do whatever he told her, and she was very vulnerable and she has a mental disorder and she needs help," Laurene Sikorski told NBC affiliate WDIV.
"I want to make sure she gets help."
The girl is being held on $1 million bond. She can see her parents but was ordered to have no contact with her siblings including the 12-year-old brother who was stabbed in the throat. The boy survived.
The Sikorskis adopted all three children from Poland, where they lived in an abusive and neglectful home. "They suffered horribly," said the teen's lawyer, Laurie Posner.
Roksana was an ideal child who began to act out when she hit adolescence, according to Posner. She was diagnosed with attention-deficit disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder and put on medication, the attorney said.
Last spring, she met Rivera on Facebook, and her misbehavior spiked as she began sneaking around with him, Posner said. She ran away for a couple of days over the summer and was found at his house.
Her parents filed a statutory rape complaint against Rivera which prosecutors now plan to dismiss "pending further investigation."
"The reason he wanted her to murder her family is the family was pursuing rape charges," said Posner.

Well just so long as their little precious can’t ever attempt to murder anyone besides them
Some might say she needs a good spanking. No pictures to help with that assessment since she’s a minor (even if about to be charged as an adult).
Myself, I think she’s well past the point of loving discipline.
Most kids (like mine) are wonderful and loving, even as they become independent. But, some are more like raccoons or chimpanzees or wolves... lovable when young, but wild and feral once the hormones hit.
If this crazy young lady were in my family, I wouldn’t expect to see her at the reunions.
This is why attempt murder cases are “People v. defendant” rather than “target v. defendant.” Do not ask for whom the bell tolls; a murderer is a sociopathic threat to all of us.
Talk about “helicopter parents”
There is a pic in the link.
Good point.
We adopted a child who was almost 4. She actually was not that bad and now we’re proud of her (she’s 33) and we have a wonderful granddaughter. BUT, it was rough. I went to seminars on attachment disorder and heard from folks like these parents. I think that if this were my child, I would continue to try to protect her but I might send her to a special treatment center. Sadly, there are treatment centers for minors who commit murder or try to. They have to think about their son as well. I didn’t read the whole article. Is he okay physically? I don’t want to get into details on a public board. She’s doing great now but it can be pretty rocky.
The “boyfriend” looks like the devil, and he was trolling Facebook for vulnerable young teenaged girls.
If Roksana needs to be locked up to keep her from harming anyone else, then she does, but ...
My bad... it must not have loaded when I read the text.
She needs a good spanking... and to be shunned.
While not condoning the event, that explains everything........There are far too many children being adopted here in the US from foreign countries where they were abused as young children beyond the point where professional counceling and rehabilitation will ever return them to normal children.......
I have a friend who is a PHD child psychologist and we once discussed an incident that happened in California where a 7 year old bashed in the head of a playmate with a rock, killing him.
My friend basically said that the primary nurturing years occur between the ages of 2 and 7 and if the loving, nurturing and being taught right from wrong are absent, the child will likely grow up to become a monster and a lifetime perpetual threat to society........
