Senate Minority leader Mitch McConnell (R) has a new ad in the Kentucky Senate race that zeroes in on the demographic of voters he thinks are mostly likely to be wooed by his opponent, Democratic candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes: Young women.
In the ad, young women make the pitch that it is Grimes who looks down on them, by implying they need the government's help to get ahead.
"Alison Lundergan Grimes wants me to think that I'm not good enough... That I couldn't get a job, unless Washington passed more laws...That I can't graduate college, without raising your taxes... She wants me to believe that strong women and strong values are incompatible." the women say in the ad.
McConnell and Grimes have been running close in all the recent polls, with most surveys showing just a slight advantage for McConnell. Watch the ad in full below.

Excellent ad. This is the Conservative answer to the Liberals’ “soft bigotry of low expectations” that tells certain groups that they’re not good enough without government help. It is the same message that ought to encourage blacks to escape the government plantation. This is our argument and the argument for freedom, and I’m glad to see it proclaimed.

Very good ad, not just for young women, but the whole conservative base.
BTW, the first young lady in the ad gets my vote! B^)
I like it a lot. Those women look like my strong daughters who are self sufficient. That is the message we need to send. Hypocrites touting feminism with government dependence should be shown for what they are.
Great ad.
Too bad we have to have Senators who won’t use this kind of stuff until they face political death in just weeks.
McConnell is the living personification of what is wrong with the Republican Party. That said, conservatism needs his vote, or does it, since a majority is a majority is a majority.
So, tonight I am wondering what freepers think about conservatism being better off if McConnell lost, as long as we (Pubs) still ended up with a majority.
My thinking is that if McConnell lost, but the pubbies still won a majority, could that open up the possibility of Cruz becoming majority leader or am I all wet for some technical or “reality” reason I am unaware of?
If you keep reading all the posts that pertain to McConnell, you will find that that comes up all the time; numerous times. Many would like to see McConnell lose and the GOP still win control of the Senate. That is doable.
..........thanks for the info!
............u think Cruz would have a Chinamen’s chance in hell of getting elected majority leader?
also, would he want the job?
I’m certainly no fan of McConnell, but to wish Grimes a victory is wrong! We don’t need another water-carrying DEM in the Senate. McConnell is with us some of the time. I find it just plain stupid to oust him when we need every seat we can get.
Effective, heck yeah.
I’m surprised that it’s McConnell running it.
Grimes is less dangerous than McConnell. McConnell would have real power to advance Amnesty and all the rest of the Democrat agenda. I wouldn’t vote ever for someone just because he is of my clan or wears the same kind of hat I do.
