OWENSBORO Former President Bill Clinton made his third lap around the track in Kentuckys neck-and-neck U.S. Senate race, imploring a throng of supporters Tuesday to help push Democratic candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes first across the finish line in two weeks.
Minutes after Grimes called herself a Kentucky filly, the 42nd U.S. president offered his own equine analogy. Every election cycle, Clinton said, I feel like an old racehorse.
They got me in a nice barn, and when its election season, they come in, they give me an extra bale of hay, he said, drawing laughter from the crowd of some 3,000 at the Owensboro Convention Center. Somebody comes in and brushes my coat, and then they drag me out to the track, and they slap me on the rear to see if I can get around that track just one more time.
I want you to know Im running around this track for Alison because I know shed be the best for you.

And no this is not a parody...they actually said those things.
Maybe she should blow the old racehorse. It couldn’t hurt her chances. She’s a loser with a capital L.
I’m no Kentuckian, but she conveys a certain emptiness, a phoniness reminiscent of Obama in 2008. Like you can imagine the consultants seizing on the idea of how perfect she’d be, because she was part of all the right demographics. Not.
I hope McConnell beats her well outside the forecast margin.
I could hardly believe they would say these things given Clinton’s reputation. This could have been written by The Onion, but this is real.
Third visit? No wonder Grimes can’t say she voted for Obama...her mouth is full.
