Bush Didn’t Lie.So Why Did His Admin Sit on the Evidence of Saddam Hussein’s WMDs?
National Review ^ | October 18, 2014 | DeRoy Murdock

Posted on 10/18/2014 3:10:52 PM PDT by lbryce

New media accounts — including coverage by NRO’s Patrick Brennan — confirm what I repeatedly have written since the depths of Operation Iraqi Freedom: The late dictator Saddam Hussein did have weapons of mass death, and the United States of America was correct to invade Iraq, find these toxins, and destroy them. Also vital: padlocking this Baathist general store for militant-Islamic terrorism.

As I explained on July 17, 2006:

While the liberal press gently sleeps, evidence continues to mount that Hussein had WMDs, though perhaps not in quantities that would bulge warehouses.

“Since 2003 Coalition forces have recovered approximately 500 weapons munitions which contain degraded mustard or sarin nerve agent,” states a June 21 declassified summary of a report from the National Ground Intelligence Center. “Despite many efforts to locate and destroy Iraq’s pre-Gulf War chemical munitions, filled and unfilled pre-Gulf War chemical munitions are assessed to still exist.

GW thought it was beneath the dignity of the office of President to respond. This is part of the reason

Karl Rove is a bigger threat to the Conservative movement than most Democrats.

people forget how poisoned the environment was back then. the relentless propaganda coming out of the hate filled mouth of weazen harry reid and his organs in the MSM would have crucified GWB (even worse) if they had tried to use anything short of a nuclear missile ready for launch as evidence of WMD.

Perhaps Rove et al were conspiring to sabotage the Bush admin in order to usher in the piece of filth we have now.

Try to imagine if the military had said, “there are WMDs hidden all over the country.”

AQ would have had people looking for them everywhere.

Bush was assertive as a shy boy at the high school prom. His communicating skills or lack thereof was his worst enemy. He tried to please everyone and governed like a D with an R next to his name. He made the same mistake Richard Nixon made in believing the hard left could be ‘compromised’ with. Even Reagan got bit by that one.

Its really a good test for the Obama Administration. Think about it they had access to the data from the Bush Administration but refused to release it.

If I were Obama I would have corrected those whack job lefties who kept repeating the mantra that there were no WMDs.

But its proof positive that the Democrats are not interested in the truth especially the kind that makes them look silly and uninformed.

>>> people forget how poisoned the environment was back then.

Winner !!! Even after the Times story liberals do not think the WMDs found were a threat to us. That said, Bush asked Americans to die to find those weapons. He should have never stopped fighting to get the truth out..

GW thought it was beneath the dignity of the office of President to respond.

He did and I do admire the man for taking a man's role when it was demanded.

O-Blame-O. Compare and contrast.

It still infuriated me when that administration just sat there and took it. Go to hell, Rove. The Kennedys are waiting for you.

It has nothing to do with dignity. GW is a human punching bag, too weak to even defend himself. Even as the country is being systematically dismantelled, he remains silent.

Silence has allowed a lot of bad things to happen in this world.

Too many to keep track of. Coining the term "Compassionate Conservatism" ranks at the top. Drivel.

It was a lose-lose proposition.

The left cursed at him and said that he had found none, so there was no legitimacy to the invasion and occupation.

Had he announced that WMD were found, they would say that the mission is now over, so you must remove the military from Iraq.

Remember, the Democrats used all these nasty rants against Richard Nixon about Vietnam. Then when Nixon pulled out, the Democrats did everything in their power to cause South Vietnam to collapse and be taken over by the communist North. A total betrayal of the ARVN and the South Vietnamese people, all because the left was filled with bile and hate.

And the Democrats have not changed one whit. They truly don’t care, or they are even in favor of people suffering and dying, if it will get Democrats more power.

Remember this.

what would you have done in his place, oh, knowledgeable one?

(this is where we find out of you have a faulty memory, or if you were 10 years old in 2006)

Sure, because running around like Jimmy Carter just screams dignity.

You simply can’t play nice with Democrats. Ever. They are duplicitious and will stab you in the back in a New York minute.

Democrats are viscious infighters who view politics as blood sport and they play to win at all costs. Republicans just can’t understand the singular reality of that.

I read this article and just marveled.

http://www.foxnews.com/world/2014/10/18/dragon-egg-marines-who-guarded-saddam-mysterious-bunker-fear-weapons-unleashed/

What caused nobody to say a word? How can a secret be so well know and so well kept?

It lends a lot of credibility to how the obola administration can keep such tight wraps on their actions but not the outcomes.
