The kind of protective gear that the people who study ebola wear is total body covering PLUS they have air blowing into the suit which prevents anything from getting sucked in - sort of like an astronaut's suit.

I am sure those kind of suits are being used in the special facility where Dr. Brantley went.

True Class 1 suits are completely airtight and the occupant breathes through Self Contained Breathing Apparatus - SCBA...an air pack. Wear a suit like that with a pack for an hour and it will seem like a week. When you are through you have to go through a thorough decontamination process. Only way to be safe...
