I see very little effort on the part of the FBI or police to protect private citizens from crime.

Ever been robbed? It would be an improvement over the current situation if your case went to the bottom of the list. As things are now, your case does not even get on the list. The job of the police is to write reports and to raise revenue by ticketing normal citizens for minor offenses.

If you are famous, your case might get some attention. If you are black and attacked by a white person, your case might get some attention. If you are a pretty young girl who is murdered your case might get some attention. Otherwise, it’s too much of a bother.

I am seriously questioning the value of a police force as it now stands. The few things I appreciate about the police are: directing traffic when there is a power outage or similar situation, other traffic management work. I’m sure there are a few others, but I can’t think of any off the top of my head.

I don’t hate the police (several cops in the family) but I question whether they are worth the high cost of my tax dollars for the low level of benefit they provide.

Once an organization becomes corrupt, they can’t expect to be trusted from that point forward. There might be an exception if the corruption was rooted out, but time and again we have seen coverups and closing ranks around the guilty. On the rare occasion where there has been punishment, it has amounted to a wrist slap. The list of compromised government agencies is huge: FBI, IRS, DOJ, .....

It is a dark place when citizens have no method for private communications. The government must be rolled back. There is no trust of them any more. They have overstepped their bounds and have no remorse what so ever. In fact, they want unfettered access to all facets of everybody’s life, legal or not. Dark place indeed.
