Horne: State won't appeal; same-sex marriage legal in AZ

Arizona Attorney General Tom Horne on Monday said the state would not appeal a U.S. District Court judge's ruling that strikes down Arizona's ban on gay marriage.

Horne said that any appeal of Judge John Sedwick's ruling would be an exercise in futility and that the only purpose it would be to "waste taxpayers' money."

Horne said that while he disagrees with the ruling, based on legal conclusions he issued an email to the 15 county clerks in Arizona stating that they can immediately begin issuing marriage licenses for same-sex couples.

He said he believed there were about 10 same-sex couples at the Maricopa County Clerk's Office lined up to get marriage licenses during his news conference. There is no waiting period to get married in Arizona, he said.

Good thing the b******d lost his primary. Still, I voted to keep marriage between one man and one woman, and it burns me that this activist judge just negated the will of the majority of Arizonans.

Did you actually read the report? Anyone who can read this in the report and not see that Horne was targeted by Eric Holder’s FBI is blind:

Yes, there was a campaign finance witch hunt going on - totally unfair. But that didn’t sink him, the affair and hit and run did. Eric Holder didn’t trick him into cheating on his wife. Keep it clean GOP.
