On Friday, Sept. 25, 2014, my uncle Thomas Eric Duncan went to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas. He had a high fever and stomach pains. He told the nurse he had recently been in Liberia. But he was a man of color with no health insurance and no means to pay for treatment, so within hours, he was released with some antibiotics and Tylenol. Two days later, he returned to the hospital in an ambulance. Two days after that, he was finally diagnosed with Ebola. Eight days later, he died alone in a hospital room. Now, Dallas suffers. Our country is concerned. Greatly. About the lack of answers and transparency coming from a hospital whose ignorance, incompetence and indecency has yet to be explained. I write this on behalf of my family because we want to set the record straight about what happened and ensure that Thomas Eric did not die in vain. So, heres the truth about my uncle and his battle with Ebola.

The nurses should sue the family.
The hospital should bill the relatives.
All cleanup costs should be billed to the family.
They treated him as Obolacare prescribed.
So, whose fault is it really?
He should have stayed in Liberia you putz. Thats where he was when he contracted the Ebola.

Jesse been coachin him.
An article this morning said Duncan’ family is going to have a very hard time suing and winning. Also, the nurses suing the hospital for letting them get Ebola ... Very, very hard.
Apparently, Texas has iron clad laws that protect medical personnel, clinics and hospitals from lawsuits. Texas is famous for it.
He infected God knows how many people and they complain that the system failed?
F them all.
Josephus,
He wasn’t our responsibility. Do you know anything about responsibility?
I’d prefer that those from Liberia not come over here — especially those that have been close to someone that died from ebola.
Whitey’s fault. Where’s Sharpton??
Policy, procedure, and protocol... it’s the American way of death.
Which country is that, Mr. Weeks?
My country (the USA) is just about running out of sympathy for your uncle.
Why does the USA need a steady stream, at 150 per day, of these 67-IQ people from Liberia?
No, a virus did. So STFU you worhtless turd world ingrate.
What f’n gall. SOB sneaks into this country sick, possibly starts a pandemic, and relatives start bitching about the system. Deport these bastards NOW!!!!!!
No, a virus did. So STFU you worhtless turd world ingrate.
” But he was a man of color with no health insurance “
He wasn’t even an American citizen you little POS!!
We should not put any of our healthcare workers at risk. If one comes over from west Africa and has ebola. They need to be isolated from everyone.
Drop in some food, water, Tylenol and maybe a few other necessities in a quarantined room but do not put any of our healthcare workers at risk. If the person survives, great.
We’ve got enough welfare cases here already. We don’t need to offer free healthcare to the world. They need to understand that.
Ebola killed him the system spent a lot of money on him and spread the disease to people who tried to help him. A little gratitude?
Hey Weeks, if your uncle had lived, Liberia would have prosecuted him for leaving the country.
