The owners of a suburban Phoenix dog-boarding kennel and two caretakers, one of them the son of U.S. Senator Jeff Flake, were indicted on animal cruelty charges on Wednesday after the deaths of 21 dogs at the facility in June, county prosecutors said.
A state grand jury indicted kennel owners Jesse Todd Hughes and Maleisia Hughes each with 22 felony and seven misdemeanor counts of cruelty to animals and one count of fraud for the incident inside a cramped room at the Green Acre boarding facility, prosecutors said.

If he makes Flake look bad he is not the establishment pick, but if he acts "heartless" towards dead dogs, it might be a Rick Perry "Oops" moment and the primary voters will desert him.

Flake's other son was in trouble for racial postings.

Flake is a Chamber of Commerce/amnesty guy.
JD Hayworth describes Flake:
Btw, ala Anthony Weiner, he did his own self photography. Although he set it up as though it was some beefcake calendar.
This guy went to some deserted Pacific island just he, himself, his tripod, his camera, and a timer, and was taking all these weird beefcake photos of himself.
Look, I understand, people who get into politics dont suffer from a shortage of self esteem. But this Flake guy, who Ive known for years, and he is aptly named; he himself will admit it. This guy has a level of toxic narcissism
Didn’t Huckleberry’s son hang a puppy or something? What’s the deal with these politicians’ kids? Well, at least they’re not serial rapists and murderers like the Kennedys.
Yes, he hung a dog who supposedly had mange.
Thanks for the link.
I guess his defense will be that he is a flake?
Hayworth has a lot of nerve. When he ran against McCain, at the end of Hayworth’s radio ads, he ended it with “I not only approved this ad, I wrote it!”
He turned a lot of Arizonans off my it.
I don’t own animals. Although I am very attached to our daughters dogs.
But I’ve always believed that a person who is deliberately cruel to an animal which has no way of defending itself is a person that cannot be trusted with human life.
What is wrong with that. Were they written by someone else?
Hayworth is certainly right about Flake and Hayworth in general seems like a funny person.
Maybe a name like that was just too much of a burden.
My take:
The DA was going to go for lesser charges against the defendants. Then the DA had a meeting with Sheriff Joe and was informed under no circumstances would he accept lesser charges.
Sheriff Joe is a big animal lover and puts up with no animal abuse in his jurisdiction.
I wonder if Jeff Flake will have to call in help from his illegal alien friends for prison protection.
I am not disputing Hayworth’s assessment of Flake. More of a “pot calling the kettle black”.
It is my understanding that there are a lot of flakes in Austin... still, it don’t matter who’s in Austin, Bob Wills is still the king.
