Yeah, I think they should tell us how they disinfected it. And they really ought to let it sit for at least 24 hours. Not sure how long the virus can survive on seats, etc.
They should probably replace all the seats and send them through an intensive sterilization process.

Well they could add them to the “Do not fly list” with an expiration date.

She also called the CDC several times asking if it was safe, telling them she had a fever of 99.5.
They told her it was okay.

They don’t need robots. They can just put UV lights in the plane and leave them on for a while.

Bring Out Your Dead
Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...

It is pretty well understood that this stuff does not live that long out of a host. I still would rather they douse the thing in formaldehyde.

What rock do you live under?
0bola lives on surfaces for up to five days.
Formaldehyde? That’s for things that are already dead. Better to use bleach, to kill the live 0bola virus, on surfaces.

As soon as it dries it is not going to kill you. The five days number is BS.
Formaldehyde is used for high level sterilization. You put crystals in a heater and gas a building or contained area for three days. Nothing is going to be alive in there.

The plane that transported Vinson was cleaned after her flight and then put back into service the next day, according to Frontier Airlines. The airline stressed that the flight was the last of the day and that the plane was cleaned "within CDC guidelines" after Vinson's flight."Well, that's unsettling!"
PING!
To: Ancesthntr
That plane should be taken out of service and burned in a pit full of napalm and magnesium. I wouldnt knowingly take a ride on it if they stripped it to bare metal and heated it up to 1,000 degrees. Fook that! Napalm and magnesium? Why such lukewarm half measures?
I vote for thermite or acetylene...
NO cheers, unfortunately.

Yes. I too would like to see those written guidelines. Probably their existencew is the same as the infamous protocols for nurses treating ebola patients.
