It’s pretty apparent they are flying blind

But why was she flying in the first place? I thought they were asked to stick around and watch for symptoms for 21 days.

You mean to tell me that this nurse who was caring for the late lamented Ebola patient zero in Dallas knew that she had fever before boarding the aircraft?

This nurse is retarded.

Now, who took her temperature? Was this part of the new DHS passenger-scanning initiative for air travelers at the security gate that the Feds just put in place? They acknowledged she had a fever yet she was allowed to board anyway? They should have asked her if she'd been in contact with anyone who had Ebola and she said... what?

I really just cannot believe this. Absurd!

None of the HCW that took care of Duncan after he was put in the isolation unit were placed on surveillance, according to the CDC.

If not, why not...?

What is needed are some hearings with nurses allowed to vent. Can you imagine the sight of a female nurse almost in tears stating how stupid these policies are to let these people into the country, refuse to restrict flights, expect nurses to risk their lives to save these people and then blame nurses when they get sick and are laying there dying. None of this was supposed to happen according to the President. He said Ebola was hard to get. That’s a hearing I would pay to watch.

She flew from DFW to Cleveland on 10 OCT, don't know the commercial carrier yet, but checking...

From the WaPo:

While visiting Ohio, she stayed with three family members who are employees of Kent State University, the school said in a statement Wednesday. She did not actually visit the campus, Kent State President Beverly Warren said in the school’s statement. The three family members have been asked to stay off of the school’s campus and self-monitor for the next 21 days.

More stupid reporter tricks. She wasn’t under surveillance. Duncan’s nursing staff were not on the CDC’s monitoring list. However, she should have known better and been self monitoring and not flying it across the country. obola and Frieden can be blamed for Duncan and Nina but if anyone in Akron or on those flights gets sick, it’s this nurse’s fault. The Soup Excuse doesn’t play.

‘You mean to tell me this nurse...had a fever before boarding the aircraft?’ May or may not be a factor here, but all of our institutions are riddled with nearly fifty years of affirmative action. Our systems creak along on the average day but fail dramatically when challenged.

Just heard (on radio) Frieden saying she should NOT have been on public transportation.

THIS is why Ebola spread so quickly in Africa ...... you have highly educated, medical personnel here in this country who “travel anyway” or break a “voluntary quarantine” (DR. Snyderman) & they all KNOW BETTER & know that the result could be that people die because of their behavior. The Africans have been catching a lot of flak for their primitive behaviors & cultures when low info, witch doctor believing, general population types in Africa don’t self-quarantine, follow hygiene protocols, etc. ..... but again, you’ve got the same d@mn behavior going on HERE IN THIS COUNTRY by people who DO know better.

"Ebola-stricken health care worker flew on passenger plane a day before being diagnosed"

It's the cleanup crew's fault. It's Africa's fault. It's the government's fault. It's those evil males.

[Heaping pile of smelly irony and sarcasm served up there for political/regulator folks.]
