NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) – President Barack Obama has canceled a trip to New Jersey and Connecticut and will instead hold a meeting about Ebola at the White House.
“The president’s travel today to New Jersey and Connecticut has been postponed,” the president’s Press Secretary said in a statement. “Late this afternoon, the president will convene a meeting at the White House of cabinet agencies coordinating the government’s response to the Ebola outbreak.”

This is VERY concerning to me. If the Pres cancelled a fundraising trip, the Ebola situation must be BAD. Israel bombing Iran’s nuke installations bad.

The place to fight this disease is at its source, not here.
The “screening” process at our airports is a joke and ineffective. 150 people a day are coming here from West Africa—that is 4500 a month. Some will show a fever and yet may be carrying the virus.
Our healthcare system will shutdown if this continues.
We already have cases in Kansas, Nebraska, Massachusetts, Virginia, and Texas.
The first order of business of a government is to protect their citizens. And this government is failing to do so.

Stopping incoming flights can be the only thing coming out of this meeting. Somebody must have got his attention. The Obama administration is getting their heads together in order to find a way to spin the decision. And start the ban in two weeks or so. Don’t to cause panic. Our Ebola response was thoroughly inadequate before this. With Obama getting involved, things are about to get worse.
Ebola at the White House?? An emergency or just crappy editing?
Why do people keep repeating this "stop incoming flights" idea? Banning flights to and from affected countries would do nothing, because there already are no direct flights between the US and affected countries.
Of course, I could be wrong. Priority #789 may not even be on their radar screen.
