If I recall correctly, every U.S. case of Ebola - whether contracted in the U.S. or elsewhere — involves someone trying to care for someone else. So far, I have not heard of anyone who does not fit into that category.
Yep..... You gotta wonder how Duncan who had Ebola went to a hospital, filled out all of the paperwork, had a medical exam. Opened all the doors, sat in the waiting room, etc etc and no one has caught ebola from that event.
There's no native reservoir species and we wouldn't be eating them raw or semi-cooked if there were, but getting bitten might be an outside possibility if one were to exist. Also, there have been no late stage Ebola cases outside of a medical setting. Duncan has been the only one close to it at this point and hopefully will remain the only one. If his girlfriend and her family do not get infected it will verge upon the miraculous, or as some have speculated, they knew and took measures to avoid infecting themselves.
