An snkppe from my old computer database:
JULY 31, 2002 : (WASHINGTON POST REPORTS THAT THE CIA FOUND IRAQI WEAPONS LAB —— see BLUE NILE) The Washington Post runs a report (Reality is uncertainty,” by Joby Warrick, Washington Post , 31 July 2002) suggesting that the CIA has found a laboratory called Talhaddy, or “Challenge” on the west bank of the Tigris River, employing a team of 85 scientists working on a viral strain code-named Blue Nile. Detail sound similar to Ebola Virus, a lethal hemorrahagic disease. —— Iraq- Scotsman Says Saddam has weapons to wipe out world’s population, nuclear bomb withing 3 years,” The Scotsman Dossier- SPECIAL REPORT ON IRAQ,” by Westminster Editor
Cindy, this was likely from one of the lists of links you posted back in Bush’s time so it is probably in the FR archives someplace too.
Sometimes the site is called al Talahady.
I’m looking to see if the orig article has been scrubbed.
Thanks for sending chills up and down my back and raising the hair on my arms, [ my personal warning re flight or fight stimulus].
The latest CSI program dealt with a lethal hemorrhagic disease that was caused by a lethal exposure to a secret specimen from a private lab creating a biological WMD. Scary show. I won't go into more specifics to avoid running a good show.
The unbelievable part of the show was how CDC knew what to do and had the proper level 4 lab and haz mat gear in Vegas immediately.
Where have you been?
I remember that. And reading more details from the “inside.”
If someone is up for researching, I believe there is mention of Saddam’s chemical and biological weapon research in the book Saddam’s Bombmaker. I own a copy in a box somewhere but I am recovering from brain surgery so I can’t attempt to,find it. But it might be sitting on someone’s bookshelf.
Back this summer when the infected doctor was flown back to the states for treatment, I saw an article listed on a Google search results that told of the Ebola virus being modified by (can’t remember) for weaponized applications. I’ll look for that again if I can find it.
