Yes, we would; the borders have been utterly open for years and it would take someone with balls to close them given how many of the DC elites are open-borders types.
We would not be seeing 60 million people on food stamps.
Yes we would; Romney is not for the things that would decrease this (like reducing burdensome regulation) because he is a statist.
We would not be seeing ISIS taking over the M/E.
Really? And how do you think he would have stopped that?
Or are you saying that you'd support the massive boots-on-the-ground operations that it would take to control things there? (Think WWII-like draft and population:fighting-man rations.)
We would not be seeing 14% real unemployment.
Yes, we would.
Romney is not against the things that make it difficult for employers to hire. (See RomneyCare.)
How exactly do you know that? After four years in office, the Republicans in Massachusetts were about as happy to be rid of Romney as the Democrats were. His term was hardly a rousing success or he would have run for re-election. I have no doubt that Romney would have been more effective than Obama but that doesn't mean that Romney would have been successful in any of those situations - just less incompetent.
Wrong, Cooper. You intended to vote against Obama. In action, you did only ONE THING -- you voted FOR Romney.
As long as you confuse intent with action, you will be chasing unicorns with your vote and you will be manipulated by leftists cashing in on your well-intentioned wishful thinking.
It took me almost THIRTY YEARS of voting "against" Democrats by voting straight Republican ticket, to figure it out. Voting "against" is a comforting emotional illusion.
For the love of God, STOP thinking in terms of voting "against." START thinking in terms of voting FOR. When I see two leftists such as Romney and Obama vying for the presidential office, I will vote FOR weakening the popular mandate of whichever leftist bastard wins, and that is exactly what my third-party vote did.
YOUR vote "against" Obama strengthened the mandate to increase leftism in the Republican party, and had Romney won, it would have strengthened his popular mandate.
The ONLY thing that counts is what you vote FOR.
