RE: Deodorants/antiperspirant - For a while I made a home made deodorant with coconut oil, baking soda (aluminum free) and essential oils. It worked well, but I usually had to apply twice a day.

Then I read a blog where a woman raved about using lemon as deodorant. Just take a fresh lemon slice and pat under the arms where one would normally apply deodorant. It's crazy but it works like a charm.

I like lemons but that sounds a bit bizarre.

Salt kills bacteria. It’s the same reason we use salt water or a saline solution to flush a wound. In the case of underarm odor, sweat itself has no smell. The stink is caused by bacteria that have proliferated and left their earthly bodies, leaving only their essence behind. Salting using a salt crystal right after you shower halts the growth of this bacteria before it can begin. I have used them for the last 20 years with no side effects.
