This all good advice but Obama will never hear it and even if he did he wouldn't listen.

Except that Kennedy wasn’t trying to destroy America...

We had lots and lots and lots of Special Forces in Iraq over the past few years. So now, the answer is more Special Forces?
I remember when Fox had their Air Force General on to discuss a possible upcoming military operation. I told my wife, “He’ll describe doing SHOCK AND AWE again, only he’ll call it AWE AND SHOCK.” Sure enough.
There are two ways to go at this. The first way is to wipe the chalkboard clean and look at a different strategy with new thinkers. The second is to use overwhelming firepower in Iraq and keep the press out of there. The press is not the least concerned over the horrors of war and how it affects people. They just want to show the horrors so they can make money. If they actually cared about people, they’d be crying over this endless war and the effects on the people involved. It’s cruel to prolong a war with no desire to win it. Fight to win or get out.

Don’t forget the Syrian Chemical Attacks on “poor defenseless rebels” = Gulf of Tonkin incident.

I’m afraid once we pulled out of Iraq there are no good options. NADA. It’s like not leaving troops to hold you ground in a game of RISK.

You put soldiers now only to defend places like Jordan.

No good options. We’re almost forced to cut our losses and run. Let whatever happens happens. I can’t see sending our nation’s finest in there again to fight a war half @ssly.
