I wonder if this is related to the number of homosexual clergy members? Besides those that cost the Church millions in homosexual rape cases, there are plenty more out there.
Benedict XVI banned them from the seminaries (I was shocked that wasn’t already in place for centuries); will this undo the ban?
LOL you may be right, but that's not what Catholics are saying elsewhere.
The ban was in place for centuries, written or not. The free love 60s and 70s opened the seminaries to active homosexuality, and homosexuals in positions of power excluded potential seminarians who had traditional values.
How is that even possible, seeing that homosexuality is a completely subjective, self-declarative quality, unlike race?
They just say no, they're "straight."
You can ban them but that doesn’t keep out closet cases. What’d really decrease the proportion of homosexuals and pedophiles in the priesthood is allowing priests to marry. That’d also rectify the embarrassing contradiction of a pro-life church taking an anti-life position by forbidding its priests to bring life into the world.
