He is not a law judge—he is what we would call the county executive here. He is the head of the county government. It is an administrative position.
My understanding is Texas uses the term “judge” for this position.

I'd be worried about that--he could infect more people than Duncan. If it's just him, well, he gets a Darwin Award, or at least an Honorable Mention.
