It is entirely possible. We’re talking about the GOP, after all.

You and me, both. You must live in Illinois, as well.

Divide and conquer will be the reason for a Dem win if it occurs here and across the nation.

Exploit the differences between the “ideological purists” on the Right and keep them from voting together.

The funny thing is that no one here will see that we have brought it upon ourselves.

Big Tent Republicans? Nah. That’s just for suckers. It’s all my way or the highway.

“- Pubbies will pickup between 7 to 12 Senate seats and 12 to 35 seats in the House!!! -”

This would be a Wave - The question is are those new House seats RINO, or limited G’ment?

That's right. Flopping the 17th on the existing structure of our constitution is like adding a rumble seat to a Miata sports car. Neither can work. Both disrupt a carefully engineered design.

The Framers weren't even comfortable with two year terms. The ONLY reason reps don't stand for election every year is the difficulty of 18th century travel. A six year popular term is an abomination in any republic.

Another problem is that the 17th denies the consent of the governed, that being the states. In order to remain a free government with passage of the 17th, every clause in the constitution that affected the states should have been repealed. That’s right, every one. The states were no longer represented, and therefore the government had no legitimate power over them. Passage of the 17th left behind a federal constitution without federalism.

I posted a well-received vanity on the subject here.

Oops. I meant to edit it to read, “Passage of the 17th left behind a federal constitution without federal government.”

I cannot give you an accurate breakdown, because all is in a state of flux right now. The Pubbies need to pickup six “Democrat” seats to take control of the Senate. They already control the House, and that will not change. The original estimate for pickups in the Senate was 6-8 seats, but....Obama has failed so badly...across the board...he is killing his own party...more than any sane person would have ever believed!!! The same scenerio is present in the House. Many House seats are now in play, then any Republican would have ever dreamed of!!!

I actually called this situation out, earlier in the year, telling Democrats, time after time, in post after post, that they had better march down to the White House and force Obama to resign or impeach him...or they would face political devastation come November, 2014 at the polls. Of course they scorned and laughed at me. Now.....they are all running from Obama as fast as they can....but, it is far too late. They had their opportunity...but...they blew it!!!

Mike Rounds (R) polling 35 percent in the latest polls. Is it possible that the GOP could end up losing a seat EVERYONE said was a "given pick up" for them?

Reince Priebus has already said that if Orman wins in Kansas then the GOP will not allow him to caucus with them. Should Pressler win in South Dakota will Priebus say the same about him?

New Hampshire, Virginia, North Carolina, Arkansas, Louisiana, Iowa, Montana, South Dakota, Colorado......possibly, long shots......Michiganknowns, New Jersey, Minnesota, Oregon & more depending on voter turnout!!! The power of positive thinking. I just believe that there is so dislike of Obama....the Obama media refuses to report on it!!! I believ no poll numbers at all!!! this election is strictly a “turnout election” with many unknowns....and I feel the unknowns favor the Republicans!!!

The power of positive thinking.

I think it's going to take a lot more than that. Especially in New Hampshire, Virginia, North Carolina, Michigan, New Jersey, Oregon, and Minnesota.

We shall see. If folks turn out enmasse...to destroy the Democrat Party, politically, anything is possible!!! This coming election is one of the most critical in all of USA history!!! IMHO....it will determine if the USA lives in freedom, economic growth, world leadership, opportunity for all..or we die on the vine of Obama/Democrat socialism and anti-American hatred!!! We shall see, come the evening of November 4, 2014!!! Our great nation hangs in the balance!!!
