Officials Admit a Defeat by Ebola in Sierra Leone
Acknowledging a major defeat in the fight against Ebola, international health officials battling the epidemic in Sierra Leone approved plans on Friday to help families tend to patients at home, recognizing that they are overwhelmed and have little chance of getting enough treatment beds in place quickly to meet the surging need. Its basically admitting defeat, said Dr. Peter H. Kilmarx, the leader of the federal Centers for Disease Control and Preventions team in Sierra Leone,

Are there other nations trying to help?
When are some of the muslim nations going to help? Have they ever contributed anything meaningful to the world?
Are there flights out of Sierra Leone?

Well, you never lose the whole population. Some have natural resistance and others avoid exposure. Very sad and everyone is completely helpless to do anything.
you would need almost one on one caregivers to face this...plus iv fluids...plus all the isolation gear....plus a food supply...plus medicine for each and every one....
We have hospital beds for 1% to 2% of our population. But 75% of those are normally filled. So we could overwhelm our hospitals very quickly too.
Hookahs.
What are they supposed to do?
Have they ever contributed anything meaningful to the world?
Really a stretch trying to find the relevance of that question.
This is an area that I am interested in, the last ditch methods and suggestions for home treatment, and even self treatment.
Really a stretch trying to find the relevance of that question.
The point here was that they contribute nothing of good value. They’re not even contributing money to the cause. It is always the USA that so many hate that has to come to the world’s rescue.
And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; It tolls for thee.

Maybe do some of the things we’re doing? Is it totally the responsibility of the USA to control it?
The best possible thing that could be done is airdrop food, water, and supplies, so the population can ‘stay put’, and instruct them to bring corpses to a central open area so the government can napalm them.
But, they’d probably become “hot” on the trip....no?
The average US hospital has 3 beds in isolation, 1 of which is usually occupied, for a total of 4,000 beds nationwide.
If it took hold in the US, we'd overwhelm hospitals in minutes.
If you google about aid to Sierra Leone, it is depressing, all corruption, theft, supplies never leaving the docks, money and supplies arrive and never reach their destination.
It seems the population is on their own, and barely have a government.
Yes - the original passengers would pass it on to new people boarding along the way or contaminate the ships so at the next port of call, a new person picks it up, and so on. And ships stopping at ports eventually drop people off near airports etc.
