Walker could be strolling to massive win in Wisconsin

VAN DYNE, Wis. — Republican Gov. Scott Walker is under investigation, and he is reviled by the largest political force in his state. But you’d never guess that by watching him amble through the stalls at a central Wisconsin dairy farm.

Walker converses with a casual ease rare among politicians. He strolls with a light step through a massive cow barn at Ruedinger Farms on Wednesday. The only thing hanging over his head is the mechanical hawk that chases away the pigeons.

You wouldn’t guess from his demeanor how hated he is. County prosecutors are still investigating him. And the government employee unions — which failed to block his legislation, failed to recall him, and failed to take back the state legislature — still have it in for him.

“Walker speaks with a forked tongue,” Fernando Stokes tells me. Stokes was a state prison guard for 32 years and is now retired. Waiting for his takeout order at Milwaukee’s Water Street Brewery, Stokes couldn’t even name Walker’s opponent. That she was running against Walker was enough for him.

Ron, a bartender at Buck Bradley’s in Milwaukee for more than 20 years, is backing Walker again. He understands the unions’ anger: “If someone yanked away your gravy train, would you be happy?” Ron asks with a laugh.

One state employee, a female parole officer, denied that the free health care and generous pension was a gravy train — state workers had taken lower pay in the past in exchange for those benefits. The benefits drew her into the state workforce when she was in her 40s. “I saw the health care was free, and I thought that was a pretty sweet deal,” the woman tells me at the Capital Tap Haus in Madison.

“He strolls with a light step through a massive cow barn at Ruedinger Farms...”
_____________________________________________________________________________
As one who runs a beef cattle farm in Florida and has a next-door neighbor with a 1,200 head milk dairy farm, learning to “stroll with a LIGHT STEP” through the cow barn is a necessity, if you get my drift. :-)

RE:”Well, The last 15 years (I’m just about 33) have really been valuable in my sense of being an amateur anthropologist. I have literally seen, first hand, en mass, how such things happen.’

I recall when I was 33 that Democrats not dare be for gay marriage and would be scared that voters associate them with creating government dependency, but this America is not one that I recognize.

Now Dems show pride in being for those things because they are now seen as good by so many.

And for any Freepers who need a reminder, Walker is massively pro-amnesty, bordering on advocating open borders.

Let’s just keep him in WI and out of DC!

We just had our Voter ID jettisoned last night here in TX by some lousy latina zero-appointed judge.

I’m beyond myself. I want blood. And nobody’s talking about it! I’m not hearing any pushback anywhere!

Who is “they”? The cops have him and I’m sure they are questioning him everyday. If the silly college students want to remember Heather at the game that’s their affair. The 50s are over. You can’t beat a confession out of a prisoner anymore especially not in a high profile case like this one. If everything works out Virginia may be able to close the books on gibe murders.Every procedure needs to be done slow and done right.

GO SCOTT WALKER! I can tell you as one who, at one time or other, has been an employee of the Federal, State and Local Governments: Government Employees do get a lot of perks the poor devils out there slugging it out every day, do not get. And, on the Federal level, they don't bust their butts either. Many Federal level jobs are Affirmative Action jobs filled by people who walk in the door the first day thinking they're "entitled"; whereas people in the private sector put in a good 8 hours because, if not, they can be "let go" without a freakin; Congressional Inquiry and Al Sharpton leading a protest in the company parking lot. Well, I'll stop there; don't get me going.

Well the one hope we have without voter ID here is that with big elections being close in Iowa, Illinois, and Minnesota too that the usual union goons may not be able to risk coming over here to vote and might actually have to stay in their own States for once.

This parole officer has no sense of irony whatsoever. "Pretty sweet deals" are the gravy train.

To the contrary, there’s plenty of time for the thugs and their associates to rise at noon, vote in IL and bus to WI before the polls close.

Less and less, there is no where to move to, my friend.

It is the same story everywhere, even in places like Montana, Lincoln, NE, Idaho, the Dakotas.

Any place that ends up building a town that is large enough for a coffee shop and a breakfast spot is eventually invested with libs who then change the world upside-down. Almost always using the courts and cops to enforce their strange ways over the local population.

For some reasons cops love being the attack dogs of radical judges.

It has never been different. Because of human nature. We have an inclination to do what is right, and an inclination to do what is wrong. Even within one person it isn’t always clear that the same one is always dominant.

So any century you were born in, you would have faced both sociopaths getting their way over masses of people, and masses of people fighting for the sociopath without a cogent thought in their heads.

Notice how the supported of Walker is ID’s-—but the ‘lady’ who opposes Walker is kept unidentified.

Now that is the truth, and the definition of tragedy.

I guess why past philosophers have said that the condition of the human being is tragedy itself.

There isn’t anything left to say on that note, except thank God for Christ the redeemer.

The 50s are over. Sadly, and I didn't even get to participate. Talk about "not fair." At least I was born and grew up with Ronaldus Maximus! To bad I had to come of age under slick Willy! Though the internet was happening, that was cool. Born in '82 and proud of it!

"You can’t beat a confession out of a prisoner"

No beating necessary. I would just introduce him to Kukuri, my gurkha knife and ask him how many fingers he wants to keep. It's hard to rape and murder with NO F-ING FINGERS!

Are you talking about Hannah? How disappointing that the student body is wearing ribbons in support of her accused kidnapper! It remindes me of those idjit students in (Baltimore?) who invited a convicted cop killer to be their graduation speaker!
