Having lived in San Francisco, I do know people who have AIDS, and some who died from it. At the beginning of the AIDs epidemic, they did not really know how it was transmitted. Very sad. I felt so sorry for AIDs victims, and also afraid for my own health. (I’m female). After it was determined to be sexually transmitted, many of the gays kept on having unprotected sex. No longer could I feel sorry for them; enraged is more like it.
AIDS is now contained; anyone who comes down with it volunteers.
Ebola is an equal-opportunity virus, much more deadly and far easier to spread.
AIDs is hardly contained in Africa.
HIV/AIDS is primarily a disease of Africans, gay men and drug abusers using contaminated needles. Think of it as a lifestyle killer disease.
Ebola on the other hand, is an equal opportunity offender and a modern day Captain Trips.
