It's almost been two years since Colorado passed legislation legalizing the sale of marijuana to adults who are 21 and older, and many states are on similar paths to pass marijuana legislation in the upcoming election - there are more drug reform questions on this November's ballot than ever before. But a few recent reports coming out of Colorado indicate that support for the legalization efforts may be decreasing among Colorado citizens.

A Sept. 17 poll conducted by Suffolk University and USA Today shows 50.2 percent of Colorado voters are not satisfied with the state's decision to legalize marijuana, while 46 percent continue to support the decision.

"Since marijuana legalization, highway fatalities in Colorado are at near-historic lows" - http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/3190602/posts<\b>

Your post does not match the data I have read and heard over the news.

Links?

There is NO upside to drug addiction.

Marijuana is less addictive than alcohol or tobacco.

Another confound to your position being the propensity of druggies to deny reality and for politicians to lie.

The source of the data in the link I posted is the Colorado Department of Transportation - are they "druggies" or lying politicians?

Let us see. We have a society that approves the following: infanticide, ready divorce, adultery, drug addiction, election of "The Divine One" Sodomy, ignorance, invasion of illegal third world peoples, influx of foreign disease etc. Drug addiction is merely one symptom of social collapse and is inextricably intertwined The proponents of all the aforementioned degenerate behaviors. Marijuana is addictive in that it blocks all the dopamine cell receptors leaving an excess of dopamine in the neural synapse. The latter accumulation leads to a pleasure response with a desire for more. It is simply ignorant to say nicotine is more addictive than Marijuana it is an attempt to justify marijuana use to one self. Marijuana addicts are like drunks who fail to face their addiction by the use of denial saying to themselves; "I can quit anytime," "it won't hurt me"

I'll bet you cannot quit using it.

You go research the change in the vehicle accident rate in Colorado, the increased burden on the Colorado taxpayer, the bums laying on the street. I know what I have read and what I have seen.

I don't think even leftists approve of drug addiction - as distinct from drug use - and I approve none of infanticide, ready divorce, adultery, drug addiction, election of "The Divine One," sodomy, ignorance, invasion of illegal third world peoples, or influx of foreign disease.

It is simply ignorant to say nicotine is more addictive than Marijuana

Of those who have used tobacco, 32% have at some point been dependent on it - for marijuana, the corresponding figure is a much lower 9%. http://www.nap.edu/openbook.php?record_id=9586&page=57. And I notice you didn't even dispute the statement about alcohol (which is also confirmed at the preceding link).

Marijuana addicts are like drunks who fail to face their addiction

What should we do about addicted drunks - ban alcohol?

I'll bet you cannot quit using it.

You lose - I quit decades ago.

You go research

Your claims, your burden of proof.

I know what I have read and what I have seen.

And yet the sources I have posted say the opposite. Advantage me.
