Yes, as usual, Mark reveals his belief that racial discrimination only occurred in “the south”,
and that the black man was considered an equal citizen in the north,
and again, as usual, he refers to “the south” as “The Old Confederacy”.
Anything else would require him to question his belief in the infallibility of Lincoln.
Bill Mahr-on is dead to me. When I happen to hear him, it sounds like the groans of a gay man getting cornholed. Yes, I am sad to admit, I found out by walking down the wrong street in DuPont Circle, DC, I heard that sound and know exactly what it is.
I’m glad to see I’m not the only one getting tired of this crap. I think I need a vacation from Mark, for a few more months at least.
Sad how much Mark reflects the sentiments of folks I do nor like here
I own all his books and listen daily
But I’m about done
A real pity....a little nuance about Dixie would go a long way
He doesn’t take real challenges on air but if he does he just yells at them
Clyde Wilson....maybe
I just don’t know why his need to smear and label the perjorative so freely
And on the most conservative demographic we have
Glad to see I wasn’t the only one listening. Levin must have achieved Grand Exalted High Priest status in the church of Lincoln after today’s exhortation.
“WTH Mark....U treat a Reconstruction Congress like a mandate. And fail to mention black codes up north”
Lincoln’s home state of Illinois had a law prohibiting free blacks from even residing in the state. Maybe Mark consider’s that to be different from a black code- no need for a code if they can’t even live there.
Of course the real reason as you say is to protect the infallibility of the demigod of 1860. He loves his dad and his dad is a true believer.
