Ben Affleck launched into an angry debate over religion on TV show "Real Time with Bill Maher" on Friday.

The "Argo" star appeared on a panel discussing current affairs and became incensed when the host Bill Maher and author Sam Harris began talking about radical Islamists because he felt they were stereotyping all Muslims. He interrupted their conversation, asking Harris where he got his facts from, and then told them their talk was "gross" and "racist" before launching into a tirade.

Affleck said, "How about the more than a billion people who are not fanatical, who don't punish women, who just want to go to school, have some sandwiches, pray five times a day and don't do any of the things that 'all Muslims do?' You're stereotyping. You're taking a few bad things and you're painting the whole religion with that same brush." Affleck, who was visibly angered by the discussion, added,"We've killed more Muslims than they've killed us...

” ...... he had converted to Islam “sometime between October and December 2013... “

I did not know that. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I really wouldn’t want him back here if that’s the case.

Or, "How about the millions of people who are not estremists, who don't shoot people in schools or theaters, who just want to go to work, buy some ammo, and spend 500 rounds a day at the range and don't do any of the things that 'all gunowners do?' You're stereotyping.

Fixed. What say you now, Mr. Affleck?

The Batman franchise has suffered over the years from a serious case of MPD, never being able to decide whether batman is comical (West, Keaton) a sexually ambiguous narcissist (Kilmer, Clooney) or a deadly serious deeply troubled anti-hero (Bale.) The final case Bale, being the only instance of bringing really quality character acting to the role.

In choosing Affleck for the latest incarnation, the producers of Batman seem to have gone “green” choosing an “actor” whose typecast is so wooden that he could easily be mistaken for a tree.

Perhaps they will complete the meme by altering Batman’s trademark head gear to resemble that most ubiquitous of forest by-products - a paper bag.

What’s that Ben? You have a opinion about something?

(In the words of Kilmer’s Doc Holliday) I’m sorry. I forgot you were there. You may go now.

There can be only one.

Batman *is* a dark and tormented anti-hero.

Only Bale ever brought his soul to light.

Ben needs a dose of reality. Like living off of a dollar for 1 whole week, while living in a multimillion dollar mansion. Empathy is his strong suit. I though it was particularly strong when he advocated for Islam and the treatment of homosexuality and women. That seems to be their strong suit.
