it’s even better. Kaplan is carrying the Post!
For profits account for 13% of the “education” market.
OTOH, for profits account for nearly 50% of defaulted student loans.
The earlier poster is correct, if the credits offered by a college are not accepted by another -**Regionally accredited** school, run away.
BTW - it’s not just private college that are worthless.
Try and use credits from UNLV anywhere else - no go - not even UNR (University of Nevada, Reno) will take them.
Are many courses “on line”...? which is a “cheap” way to get a degree... ie Kaplan’s way to attract working students. Are Community Colleges competing?
Kaplan is owned by the Washington Post.
Hm. And you think government-sanctioned institutions do?
Heavens no I don’t think government schools do
that was the original intent but it may be working out the other way around.
Many Universities are much more difficult than day class. They run at a faster pace, you have to call in for help when taking it online, etc. Most of the career institutes are for profit, but they are underrated pretty badly.
That explains why their “trial course” I attended before I decided I wasn’t going to stick with them featured the former Washington Post editor. Go figure.
