Thanks, rockrr. The pics are resident on my webpage in the source URL. I copied the image location and put is parenthesis between the prefix and suffix...all I get is a picture like the one showing in your post.
HTML is funny stuff. My explanation didn't show because I coded it correctly ;') I did find one defect in one of the pictures. Your code shows (without the carat): img src="http://wordpress.williamrussell.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/Irena-Sendler1.jpg";" If I take out the |";| the picture shows:
