WINNING OR WHINING WITH THE TEA PARTY IN 2014? (Rebuttal to Tea Party Hit piece)
American Spectator ^ | 10-04-14 | Keli Carender

Posted on 10/05/2014 8:32:15 PM PDT by INVAR

David Catron took to these pages Monday to excoriate conservatives and tea partiers for GOP losses in November, you know, the November that is still over a month away. Why would he do this? Well, after using every dirty trick in the book to make sure the establishment candidates won their primaries this year, those much-vaunted incumbents aren’t faring as well against their Democrat opponents as we were all promised. So naturally, establishment hacks and their BFF’s are dabbling in a little battlefield preparation...

(snip)

...When Mitch McConnell says that he wants to “punch” tea partiers “in the nose,” he is to blame if those same people don’t turn out to vote for him. Rule #1 in politics, I’m pretty sure, is do not threaten to punch your voters in the face.

To turn it around and put the onus on the voters is to completely distort the entire premise of our Republic. This is a message to the GOP and to GOP apologists like you, David Catron. If you want to win, you must first respect your voters, and you must earn our votes. To earn our votes, you must provide us with a true alternative to the Democrat in the race. If you want to run as Democrat-Lite, then you must live with the consequences. David Catron, you wanna reference Reagan? How about this one: “Our people look for a cause to believe in. Is it a third party we need, or is it a new and revitalized second party, raising a banner of no pale pastels, but bold colors which make it unmistakably clear where we stand on all of the issues troubling the people?”…

The GOP had control from 2002-2006 of all three branches. Nothing changed. The GOPe is embarrassed by Conservatives. They let Reagan slip by once. They’ll never let that happen again. Peeing on your base is such an effective strategy. /sarc

Well this is where the Tea Party is stupid. They need to recognize that the GOP is not their ticket.

They need to run campaigns like this .......

I certainly don’t agree with his liberal’s views but this may be a roadmap to getting the right people elected (candidate should change views to more conservative). I believe running like this would fly better in more liberal states than running as a republican.

Not to mention the most obvious. Had the Republicans controlled the house, we would not have Obama care.

They HAD the House AND the Senate, and they out-paced all the Democrat Congresses that had come before them in digging us into debt and greasing the skids for an open border - and they lost their asses in 2006, deservedly so.

And to this date, the Ruling Class of their party are doing the same thing they did back then, BLAME Conservatives.

They want us gone, they vowed to crush us and punch us in the nose.

Let them pander to Mexicans and Moderates for money and votes.

We are done with them.

You are a moron at best. Probably a liberal Troll.

You know why the GOPe isn’t using the greatest election tool in history by taking on the crimes of the IRS? Because they AGREE with destroying those that take away their power. You stupid libertarians are pissing the wind.

Orman? What a left wing liberal plant. You must like dildos up your butt as long as the GOP shoves a smaller one than the Dems.

“FU” and now “You must like dildos up your butt ?”

We’ll run that by the board moderator.

Obviously, you cannot engage in civil or intelligent discussion. Have a good evening.

Who really know? You don’t because if it were not for the likes of REPUBLICAN Snowe, it would not have gotten out of committee. You are the symptomatic fool the establishment relies upon to keep it power. It is all their votes I care about, not just the ones they manage to use for their campaigns.

Snowe allowed Obamacare out of committee.

Gerald Ford put John Paul Stevens on the Supreme Court.

George H.W. Bush put David Souter on the Supreme Court.

George W. Bush put John Roberts on the Court and tried to put Harriet Myers on the Court. He also appointed Ben Bernanke to the Federal Reserve and the Chairman of Goldman Sachs to Secretary of the Treasury, just in time for them to bail out the banks in 2008 at the expense of the middle class.

John McCain and Mitch McConnell are already on record stating if the Republicans win the Senate in 2014 they will return to the 60 vote cloture rule, effectively giving Harry Reid control of the Senate.

John Boehner and Mitch McConnell have given every indication they will collude with Pelosi and Reid to pass amnesty in the lame duck session after the election.

My Republican representative in the House has outright lied about actions she and the leadership have taken behind the scenes to push forward with the administration a plan to further restrict access to public lands by the people.

Despite all of the above, and the knowledge the Republicans will do nothing to bring fiscal responsibility to government or end Obamacare, I will once again cast a ballot for the GOP candidate for House and Senate in my district/state. In doing so I will vote against Obama but will be certain those I am voting for will do nothing to oppose him once they are in Washington.

It will be a sad, sad day.

Yeah, if it were just an average democrat in office, I might agree with you. But if you believe it is okay to allow Obama more power to do,as he,pleases, you might be the fool. You clearly trust Obama more than I do.

And #2, obamacare would not have passed if republicans had controlled the senate. For you to say otherwise is disingenuous or ignorant.

I was aware Alabama lost. I am over that. It was the “FU” that I asked about. Personally, I find it pretty classless and only shows a person’s lack of intelligence.
