Another story -
Officials believe a boy visiting Miami Beach from West Africa who was hospitalized this weekend is not likely to have Ebola.

The boy went to Mount Sinai Medical Center when he fell ill. Hospital officials said the probability that he had Ebola was extremely low, but out of an abundance of caution he was transferred Sunday to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where further tests were to be conducted.

Miami Beach Mayor Philip Levine told the Miami Herald that after speaking Sunday with officials from the Florida Department of Health and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, it appears the likelihood of Ebola is very low.

Jackson spokesman Edwin O’Dell released the following statement: “Jackson has been publicly forthcoming in asserting our confidence and readiness, and that we have established and tested protocols to deal with infectious diseases in general and with Ebola in specific. We will do everything to ensure safety and treatment for all of our patients. Jackson takes patient privacy serious and will not release information without consent.”

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.

Geez, is there not one hospital that isn’t reading off the same meme?

Thanks for posting - but, "visiting Miami Beach from West Africa..."

Visiting? As in, he's planning to go back to West Africa?
